Here is an outline of my web design and development process so that you know what to expect from me:
Step 1:
Collaborate
During our first "discovery" call, you can tell me about your vision for the website and we can brainstorm together. This is an opportunity for me to understand the full scope of the project. Based on this meeting I will then provide you with a quote.
STEP 2:
Homepage draft
After you have provided me with any existing assets (images, logos, content, color palettes etc.) I will start by tackling the main homepage first as this sets the style of the rest of the site. I will also produce a mockup and siteplan so that you can see how the whole site will be structured before I actually begin building.
step 3:
homepage review
I will provide you with the first draft so that you can tell me if the design is headed in the right direction. Everything from font choices to colors, spacing and overall layout will be addressed here. I will then make the necessary changes until you are satisfied with the homepage.
step 4:
inner pages design
Then I will design all of the other pages which will be based on the final styles used for the homepage. I can provide you with drafts of each page for review as I go along.
STEP 5:
Quality check
I will check your site inside and out to make sure it looks good on all devices, is accessible to all visitors, and has no bugs. All images and graphics will be optimized for site speed and I'll remove any unnecessary code. I will proofread the content and make sure the design is consistent throughout the site. I will also make sure that all necessary plug-ins are working correctly, including your security and backup plug-ins.
step 6:
Final review and site launch!
We did it! Your site is ready for visitors . I just have to load it on to a live host and you are up and running! But first, I will give you a guided tour of your new site and a few pointers about how to make changes of your own when needed.
